2022 - ALD RESIDENTIAL PROJECT

Located in Criciúma-SC, Brazil, this renovation and expansion project was created for a couple living in the United States. She, Brazilian, appreciates a modern style, while he, American, prefers a rustic touch. How to resolve this difference? Follow along to find out!

The owner grew up in this house, which reflects her mother's history. The main request was to preserve the original characteristics. The main changes include integrating the living rooms with the kitchen, a new roof, and an expanded balcony in the master bedroom. To maintain the history and connect it with the new construction, we preserved elements such as semi-arch openings, internal claddings, a decorative door, a garden, and the gate grills.
